Pre-Holiday Greetings to everyone! I have been a busy guy lately… Working, helping family, setting up Christmas stuff last minute, hosting Fake Christmas, making my husband gifts, and packing for a seven day trip to Pennsylvania—the state where he’s from! But, whenever I had free time last week, I ruminated and compiled facts here and there in preparation for this post—featuring seven new, somewhat fun, somewhat inane, and somewhat personal facts about myself for your perusal! I was nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award by Matt-in-the-Hat, and have been really giving this a good go. Thank you for challenging me again, and making me really think.
Thanksgiving has been quite the double-edged sword this year. It has, unfortunately, kept me away from the computer for over a week, what with all the prep and cleanup. This was the first year we had the holiday at my house, and it turns out a lot is involved… However, this little break has also forced me to think about a lot of things, including the swirling, conflicted emotions and thoughts I have about one of my uncles. He has Alzheimer’s Disease, and the more time I spend with him and help to take care of him, the more I can’t help but question his thoughts, feelings, and actions.
I was challenged, by fellow blogger Matt-in-the-Hat, to write a bit about friendship. I would like to cover what I look for in a friend, what an ideal relationship looks like, past experiences, and how I plan to proceed with future friendships. I have experienced a multitude of different people and relationships in my lifetime so far, and would like to share them with you.
